‘Love, Rosie’ to wrap filming in July

Filming locations used in the production so far have ranged from Howth to Dun Laoghaire in Dublin and Powerscourt House and Bray in Wicklow; following a week in Toronto before coming to Ireland.

Irish actors Lorcan Cranitch (‘The Food Guide to Love’, ‘1916: Seachtar na Cásca ’) and Ger Ryan (‘The Van’, ‘The Commitments’) will also appear in the film, playing Rosie’s parents - alongside Waterford actor Jamie Beamish (‘Anna Karenina’, ‘The Borgias’) as friend, Phil.

Cecelia Ahern has recorded a cameo for a wedding scene in the film, and other cast members include Tamsin Egerton (‘Camelot’), Suki Waterhouse (‘Pusher’), Jaime Winstone (‘Made in Dagenham’) and Lily Laight (‘Les Misérables’).

Based on Ahern’s 2004 novel ‘Where Rainbows End’, ‘Love, Rosie’ is directed by Christian Ditter and produced by Octagon Films, Canyon Creek Films and Germany’s Constantin Film Produktion.

Later this year Lily Collins will appear in ‘The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones’ while Sam Cleflin will be seen in ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’.

‘Love, Rosie’ is produced by Simon Brooks, James Flynn, Robert Kulzer and Martin Moszkowicz, based on a screenplay by Juliette Towhidi (‘Calendar Girls’), with casting by Gail Stevens and costume designer by Leonie Pendergast.
